Company official shares biofuel plant details

PPD of WV is putting together the final financial pieces of the puzzle, in hopes of breaking ground on its new biofuel plant near Sam Black Church this spring, according to company official Jason Perry.

Perry spoke about the $73 million project for more than 40 minutes at a Greenbrier County Commission meeting Tuesday evening, addressing an audience of around 30 people.

In addition to promising 100 jobs “off the bat” at the plant, Perry described the process that will be used to turn wood waste into diesel fuel and biochar as remarkably environmentally-friendly.
