2016 Mass Timber Conference to address cross-laminated timber use in North America; steering committee confirmed

2016 Mass Timber Conference to address cross-laminated timber use in North America - steering committee confirmedMark your calendar for March 23-24, 2016. Forest Business Network’s new Mass Timber Conference will focus on cross-laminated timber (CLT), glulam, nail laminated timber, and other mass timber wood products and their applications. The newly-redesigned Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront in Portland, Oregon will serve as home for the conference where we will address the obstacles and opportunities for

– the entire supply chain in creating a CLT industry in North America,
– midrise and tall wood buildings,
– incorporating more mass timber products in hybrid commercial structures,
– and more.

Expected attendees include: architects, engineers, city planners, construction companies, sawmills, mass timber manufacturers, loggers, mass timber equipment manufacturers and suppliers, economic developers, environmental NGO’s, and land managers.

Tackling this aggressive agenda would not be possible without the help of our outstanding planning committee, who include…
