Could your Montana forest products company be eligible for free business assistance?

Could your Montana forest products company be eligible for free business assistance?Free assistance just might be available to your Montana forest products company. That’s right. But you’ll need to apply by January 18, 2012 to meet our latest request for proposals.

I’m the lead consultant for the Forest Business Technical Assistance Project, and have partnered with the BitterRoot Economic Development District (BREDD) to help forest companies in BREDD’s service area get the technical business assistance they need. If you have a forest products company located in Mineral, Missoula or Ravalli Counties, or can show benefit to any of these counties, then you may be eligible for free assistance that can include the following:

  • Business and financial planning;
  • Marketing and management assistance;
  • Technical feasibility studies; and/or
  • Development of biomass energy businesses at Montana sawmills.

Keep in mind that not all requests for assistance can be met. And remember: proposal applications are due to BREDD by January 18, 2012. For complete application instructions and evaluation criteria, click here to visit our proposal page.
