Christmas tree farms help environment, Northwest economy

Feeling guilty about chopping down a Christmas tree, sacrificing it for a few weeks of holiday cheer?

Don’t.

That’s the message from conservation groups in Washington and across the country who say buying a real tree is a more environmentally friendly choice than an artificial tree.

That’s because Christmas tree farms plant more trees every year to replace those cut and sold.
