The PFI Annual Conference kicks off July 29th at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT. The conference (July 29-31, 2012) features a strong education program, supplier exhibits and extensive opportunities to network with attendees and speakers.
The PFI Conference Committee has assembled one of the best programs in recent memory. We’re excited to offer a day and a half of education sessions highlighting topics that are at the forefront of the industry, including:
* Mill safety and accident prevention
* Developing markets beyond residential bagged market
* Industry standards
* Densified biomass export market
* Policy developments at state and local levels
We have an excellent lineup of speakers, including Christiane Egger and Christian Rakos from Austria, who will discuss the models European countries are using to grow the pellet market as well as successes and failures in these efforts.
Also joining us are Marcus Kauffman of the Oregon Department of Forestry and Jeremy Crandall, representing Maryland Delegate Heather Mizeur, who will highlight some of the exciting developments happening in their respective regions.
If you’re new to the industry and are seeking to learn more about densified biomass and its applications, the PFI conference is a great place to start. You’ll not only learn about current hot topics, but get to know more about PFI and its members.
Registration remains open and I’d encourage you to check out our website for more information about the conference and how to register. I, along with members of PFI’s staff, are happy to answer your questions about the conference, the industry, or membership within PFI. Feel free to call or email us today.
